Every capture lands where you choose

Choose once, then keep moving

The capture bar used to show separate Inbox and Today buttons. Each click was a one-time command, so the next Enter key still behaved differently from the choice you had just made. Those competing buttons are now one clear destination control.

Choose In Progress, Today, Inbox, or Repeating, then capture normally. Plain Enter uses that destination for every new item until you change it again. The same choice appears on the Home composer, the To-Do composer, and the permanent Add sheet, and it follows your account between devices.

Fast when your hands are already on the keyboard

The menu shows Option or Alt + 1 through 4 beside its four destinations. Those shortcuts change the remembered destination without moving focus out of the capture field, so a run of related tasks can all be filed together with almost no interruption.

Repeating gets the full treatment

A repeating item needs a real schedule, not a silent guess. Capturing to Repeating opens the full habit editor with your title already filled in, ready for Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Custom timing. Voice notes and screenshots follow the same path. Their source is preserved until the habit is actually saved, so canceling the editor never loses the original capture.

On a phone, the selector stays inside the existing one-line composer as a 44-point icon control. Its menu opens at full readable width, and the Add sheet opens the menu upward so it remains clear of the bottom navigation and home indicator.
